Site Analysis 3 (Zoning)

The pictures show the zoning of the site.

  1. what does the zoning mean for you?

if this is an analysis i would expect more than information gathering.

for example, are there height limits attached to the manufacturing zoning? are you allowed to have residential functions on the site? if there are any limits can they be drawn as a graphic diagram in 3D? or are you allowed to build freely without any step backs as you go higher?

the dimensions are in feet or meters? if the narrow end is only 108 feet does the concept of a stadium fit the site? is it possible to have an interior space or does it require a transformation of the concept? for example, a stadium is necessarily introverted, but here perhaps you get more by turning the typology inside out, so the point of focus is the city itself. OUTSIDE. the ramification is that hotel visitors no longer share the same experience. a very large functional deviation from your original concept. OR perhaps the object of interest is your hotel and it is the urban dwellers ho are looking in at the residents of the hotel. instead of a football team performing for people in the stands it is the hotel visitors who perform for the city around them. an extroverted typology.
